Space Vision is a spatial astronomy app for Apple Vision Pro. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to get rid of it. We have tried to write it so it is actually readable.
The short version. You can use Space Vision without giving us your name or email. Crash reporting and usage analytics are off until you turn them on. We never collect your conversations or lesson answers as analytics. You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app.
Space Vision is operated by Visionly LLC, a limited liability company registered in Texas, United States ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
For privacy requests — access, correction, export, deletion, or any question about this policy — write to contact@thespacevision.com. For help with the app, use Settings → Help or support@thespacevision.com.
When you first open Space Vision we create an anonymous account so your progress has somewhere to live. It is identified by a random ID. It is not linked to your name, your email, or your Apple ID.
If you choose Sign in with Apple, that anonymous account is upgraded so your progress survives reinstalling the app or moving to another device. Apple then gives us your email address — which may be a private relay address if you chose to hide it — and we store it to identify your account. You may also set a display name, which is visible to other players on the leaderboard.
| What | Why | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifier (random) | Store your progress, energy and purchases | Contract |
| Email address (Sign in with Apple only) | Recover and secure your account | Contract |
| Display name (if you set one) | Show you on the leaderboard | Contract |
| Learning progress — lessons, knowledge points, energy | Run the game and personalize lessons | Contract |
| Purchase records | Give you what you paid for, and restore it later | Contract |
| Messages you send to Soluna, our AI tutor | Generate a reply | Contract |
| Interest topics you pick during setup (if you pick any) | Personalize lessons and Soluna's replies — they are sent to our AI provider along with your messages | Contract |
| Content reports you file, including the optional note | Review the lesson or reply you flagged, and fix or remove it | Contract |
| Support messages you write us | Answer you | Contract |
| Activity log attached to a problem report — included by default for problem reports, with a switch you can turn off | Diagnose the problem you reported | Legitimate interest |
| Crash reports | Find and fix crashes | Consent |
| Usage analytics — which features you use | Understand what to improve | Consent |
| Notification token | Deliver replies to messages you sent us, and announcements — each has its own switch in Settings | Contract |
| Your voice, if you use voice input | Transcribed to text on your device — no audio ever reaches us; only the text you choose to send is sent | — (not collected) |
Both are off by default. We ask once during setup, as two separate switches, and you can change either at any time in Settings → Privacy & data. Declining costs you nothing in the app.
When they are on, the reports are linked to your account. We are explicit about this because it is what lets us actually help you: when you report a problem, we can look at what went wrong for you rather than guessing from anonymous aggregates.
Analytics and crash reports carry identifiers, counts and status codes — never content. They do not contain your conversations with Soluna, lesson text, your answers, your display name, your email address, or your account balances. This is enforced in our code, not just promised here.
We use three service providers. They process data on our instructions only.
| Provider | What they handle | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase, Google Analytics) | Account sign-in, database, server functions, file storage, crash reporting, analytics, notification delivery, abuse prevention | United States |
| Anthropic | Generates Soluna's replies and lesson content from the message you send, your recent conversation, and the interests you picked. Your random account identifier travels with each request so daily limits can be applied. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. | United States |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and subscriptions, push notification delivery | United States and worldwide |
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, transfers to these providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
In the app, at any time:
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to contact@thespacevision.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Space Vision is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it. Requests from the app are attested with Firebase App Check to make it harder for anyone to impersonate the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
